The mission

At FastLane the intention has always been to be different, to be better, to be more responsive and customer driven.  No one here is ever too busy to take a call, answer a question or simply give a production tour.  We are extremely proud of what we do, what we’ve become, and where we are heading.

Company info

FastLane Emergency Vehicles is a wholly owned subsidiary of Autolycus Industries Inc., a Virginia corporation.  In operation since 1995 and fully incorporated in 1997, FastLane Emergency Vehicles was founded by corporate president, Robert W. Ritchie (Firefighter-Paramedic) for the sole purpose of manufacturing custom, specialty response and command vehicles for the public safety markets.

Founder’s background

A practicing firefighter and paramedic in the state of Virginia, Robert W. Ritchie volunteers with his local rescue squad and has held many positions dealing with vehicle purchasing and maintenance.  A member there since 1991, Robert knows what it is like to use a well-built emergency vehicle.  This “real-world” experience is what gives him the ability to understand and construct sensible and well-built vehicles.

Robert attended Radford University of Virginia from 1990-1994 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Business Administration.  A background in cabinet making, computer science and engineering, Robert brings many skills to his position and ensures his ability to produce a quality product and pleasurable business experience.
